In 2012, Courtney Wood started her own concierge style jewelry business, Cielle. Using her vast knowledge, creativity, and resources of fine quality materials mixed with unique design, Courtney's sophisticated styling empowers her to create timeless, custom jewelry that fits her client's needs.
Courtney realized her deep-rooted passion and talent for jewelry design and fabrication while training in traditional silversmithing techniques in Abeque, New Mexico. From that point on, Courtney couldn’t stop pursuing her passion for gems, jewelry design and fabrication techniques. Courtney was awarded her prestigious Graduate Gemologist degree from Gemological Institute of America in New York City, earning one of the highest cumulative scores in campus history. She continued her training at the GIA in the fields of traditional jewelry hand rendering, computer-aided jewelry design and pearl grading, as well as gold and platinum-smithing at New Approach School for Jewelers to refine her advanced jewelry fabrication techniques.
Professionally, Courtney has held positions in every aspect of the jewelry industry. Starting at Diamonds International in New York City as the lead production and design manager, she transitioned to Casting House in Chicago to lead custom design projects and manufacturing. Courtney now is a diamond wholesaler in Chicago, keeping a constant pulse on the market and diamond trends.
Her culmination of experience has allowed Courtney to understand all aspects of what makes a high-quality piece of exquisite jewelry. She has designed, produced and sold all types of extraordinary pieces, including rings (engagement, formal and everyday), earrings, necklaces, brooches, bracelets and other items for many satisfied customers. Courtney specializes in listening to precisely what is important to her clients and educating them on the process, whether those clients are looking for a budget-friendly engagement ring or an exquisite custom diamond necklace.
